Meet Gunnar

 

At 8 months pregnant Gunnar’s Mommy and Daddy got some extremely disappointing news.  Their second child was suffering from numerous medical conditions and the doctors were unsure he would even be able to make his journey into the world.  Nine years ago on April 20th the doctors were proven wrong and Gunnar came into this world ready to start his fight.  Over the past 7 years he has undergone over 30 surgeries and heart catherizations.  Not only does he fight his heart battle everyday he also deals with the daily ins and outs of having Trisomy 10.  He has a younger brother and an older sister who is actually fighting her own battle against Ewing Sarcoma.  Gunnar’s family is a true testament to loving and amazing, they support and fight as a team against all the battles they face.
